PhD, Soil scientist and lecturer at the Institute of Technology of Cambodia
Biography
I defended my PhD at Sorbonne University (SU) and the Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC) and my PhD focused on the ecosystem services delivered by biodiversity (here termites because they are the most impressive soil engineers in Cambodia building large scale mounds!!!) in paddy fields in the long term observatory of Chrey Back,in Cambodia. First I considered their impacts on soil functioning, with a focus on soil physics and organic matter dynamics, and second I looked at their utilization by the population, from the utilization of termite mound soil as amendment to the consumption of plants for medicinal purposes.
I am currently researcher and lecturer at ITC, and I give lectures on soil physics (water dynacmics in soil) and GIS. My main research falls within the REA-SOL project funded by the French Ministry of Foreign Affair (What are the main determinants of soil fertility in sandy soils in Cambodia?).
